If you're a prat and don't want to share the reg then don't expect us or any other garage to take you seriously. Its a reg. Its hardly your NI number! We don't need the make and model. We need the VIN and the engine code. Unless you know those things, we will need the reg. If you think we don't need them, then frankly we don't want to work with you, tune the car yourself as you're an expert! Expect us to frankly to tell you to jog on, we don't want to waste our time or yours!

The most stupid thing is you drive around the plate on display at the front and the back of the car. Are you really going to take the plates off the car before you pop down to visit us?

What is even more stupid is when they post their car history including the plates online. Maybe its simply an attitude problem, but we don't want anyone like that as a customer!
