Stage 3 and above

Stage 3 tuning for your Toyota Hi-Ace

Stage 3 is not a fixed package or an off-the-shelf power figure. It is a custom engineering and calibration project built around this exact Hi-Ace 2006 powertrain, the hardware fitted, its condition and how you intend to use it.

Required first step £150 Current dyno diagnostic session price
Before any Stage 3+ tuning

Every vehicle starts with a dyno diagnostic session

Before we agree to carry out any Stage 3 or above tuning, we need to examine the vehicle and understand what we are working with. This session lets us assess the car, review its ECU software and existing calibration, and decide whether the project is ready to tune safely.

  • Examine the vehicle, its condition and the performance hardware currently fitted.
  • Inspect the ECU software, existing map and available data for signs of previous tuning or limitations.
  • Determine whether we can help now or whether additional modifications or repairs are required first.

You leave with a clear next step: confirmation that we can proceed, a list of changes needed before tuning, or an honest explanation if the proposed project is not something we can support.

Hardware we can calibrate around

Typical Stage 3 and above upgrades

The final specification varies by vehicle. We review the upgrades as one complete system rather than treating each part in isolation.

Turbo & boost systems

Larger or hybrid turbos, supercharger changes, wastegates, boost control and supporting pipework.

Fuelling upgrades

Injectors, high- and low-pressure fuel pumps, fuel rails, alternative fuels and flex-fuel hardware.

Airflow & cooling

Intakes, exhaust systems, intercoolers, charge cooling and thermal-management improvements.

Engine & valvetrain

Camshafts, built engines, strengthened internals, compression changes and unusual conversion work.

ECU & sensor changes

Standalone management, ECU swaps, MAP and MAF sensor scaling, and custom control strategies.

Drivetrain integration

Torque management, gearbox calibration and power-delivery choices matched to the intended use.

How the process works

Assessment before quotation and calibration

  1. Dyno diagnosticWe inspect the vehicle, software, data and current specification.
  2. Feasibility reviewWe confirm what is supportable and identify any repairs or hardware still required.
  3. Project plan & quoteOnce the scope is known, we agree the work, intended use and realistic objectives.
  4. Custom calibrationThe vehicle is tuned and tested around the completed, verified hardware package.

This guidance is tied to your selected vehicle

We will assess the exact powertrain and software fitted before recommending a Stage 3 or above project.
