This Caterham in with us for proper dyno testing.
When it comes to knowing what an engine is actually producing, there is no substitute for a rolling road. It is the only way to accurately measure power and torque in a controlled environment without removing the engine.
Ideal for benchmarking
Ideal for proving power
Ideal for finding faults you will never see on the road
We use dyno testing alongside live data logging to build a full picture of how the engine is performing. That is how issues get spotted early and setups get refined properly.
Over the years we have worked on everything from classic Lotus 7 setups right through to modern Caterhams and just about every variation in between.
That includes a huge range of engine setups:
Old school Ford Pinto engines on carbs and distributors
Ford Crossflow setups
Vauxhall XE engines
Rover K Series
Ford Duratec
Ford Sigma
Modern Ford EcoBoost conversions
Motorcycle engine swaps like Hayabusa builds
Carburetors, throttle bodies, standalone ECUs, factory ECUs, distributor ignition, coil on plug, we have seen and tested it all.
Each setup requires a different approach, and lightweight cars like these are extremely sensitive to setup and fueling. Small changes make a big difference, which is exactly why proper testing matters.
Whether it is a classic carb setup that needs balancing and ignition dialled in, or a modern ECU controlled engine that needs calibration work, the process is the same. Test it, measure it, and prove it.
If you want to know what your car is actually doing, not what it “should” be doing, bring it in and we will show you.
No guesses
No assumptions
Just real data
